Lovely day out at Henley Show, organised by the Henley & District Agricultural Association, a charity dedicated to promoting and improving agriculture, horticulture and the breeding and rearing of livestock.
The weather was good & the variety of stalls were impressive with gardening stalls, crafts, agricultural machinery, clothing, food & fun fair & I even spotted stands for a local solicitor & estate agents. At regular intervals you are able to watch displays including birds of prey, dog competitions & a sheep shearing demonstration.
For those who enjoy “growing their own”, prize vegetables were on show with the heaviest marrow, very long carrots & huge onions. In the poultry marquee, the cages displayed the best examples of hens, cockerels & ducks with a table dedicated to prize eggs. I really would recommend visiting the show but if you didn’t make it this year, here are photos of a well organised event worth visiting next year.
