We have had some lovely local events lately including the Glorianna passing through Bourne End for the Magna Carta celebrations.
Tuesday was the opening of Cafe Thames in Oakfield Road, a much needed addition to the community in my opinion & on Tuesday evening, The Bounty played host to some Morris Dancing. (Thank you to Anne Jirsch for these amusing Morris Dancers!)
The annual Hedsor Club, Classic Car Show was a popular day out on Sunday with some beautiful photos being taken. An impressive variety of both British & American Classic cars were on display along with music, stalls & of course the Club bar.
On Thursday evening (25th June), Bourne End & Cookham and Langley & Iver Rotaracts are holding a fancy dress, Movie Quiz starting at 7.30pm at Burnham Park Hall. There are some fantastic raffle prizes including a boat trip, afternoon tea at the Compleat Angler, Odds Farm tickets, personal training, Tour of Pinewood Studios.
This weekend is the Bourne End Village Fete from 10am til 2pm at the Community Centre. There will be a BBQ, stalls, tombola & the Wakeman Road car park will be FREE! On the same day, the Riverside Fair, Riversdale is on from 12 til 4pm so you can visit both!
And coming up we have the Teddybear Parachute Jump at St. Paul’s Church on Sunday 28th June, Henley Royal Regatta starting 1st July & the Bourne End Sewing Bee on 23rd July.
Make sure you check the events calendar on a regular basis to avoid missing any of our wonderful local events.
